Outgoing:

Andrzej Duda (ECR, PL) has left his seat in parliament to become president of Poland, following the results of the elections on 24 May.

Hans Jansen (NI, NL) died on 5 May.

 

Incoming:

Pirkko Ruohonen-Lerner (ECR, FI) has joined the Parliament, replacing Sampo Terho.

 

Vice-president:

Anneli Jäätteenmäki (ALDE, FI) has been elected as vice president of the parliament, following the resignation of Olli Rehn (ALDE, FI), who was elected to the Finnish parliament.

 

Committees and the Delegations:

Nicola Danti (S&D, IT) became fourth vice-chair of the committee on internal market and consumer protection (IMCO), replacing Sergio Gaetano Cofferati (S&D, IT).

Syed Kamall (S&D, UK) left the delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb union (D-MAG) and the delegation to the parliamentary assembly of the union for the Mediterranean (D-MED) and joined the delegation for relations with Japan (D-JP).

Raffaele Fitto (ECR, IT) left the delegation for relations with Japan (D-JP) and joined the committee on budgetary control (CONT), the delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb union (D-MAG), the delegation to the parliamentary assembly of the union for the Mediterranean (D-MED).

Bernd Kölmel (ECR, DE) left the committee on budgetary control (CONT).

Pirkko Ruohonen-Lerner (ECR, FI) joined the committee on economic and monetary affairs (ECON) and the delegation for relations with the United States (D-US).

Ian Duncan (ECR, UK) left the delegation to the ACP-EU joint parliamentary assembly (D-ACP) and Tomasz Piotr Poręba (ECR, PL) joined.

Marco Zullo (EFDD, IT) left the delegation to the EU-Montenegro stabilisation and association parliamentary committee (D-ME).

 

National parties:

Kathleen Van Brempt (S&D, BE) became the Socialist Party Differently (SP.A) delegation leader in the Antwerp city council.

Barbara Spinelli (GUE/NGL, IT) left the Other Europe with Tsipras (L’Altra Europa con Tsipras) and became an independent.

Jean-Marie Le Pen (NI, FR), the founder of National Front, announced his plan to set up his own grouping following his suspension from the party.

Nigel Farage (EFDD, UK) remains leader of UKIP after the party's national executive committee rejected his resignation following his failure to be elected as a member of the UK parliament.

Patrick O'Flynn (EFDD, UK) resigned as UKIP's economics spokesperson.

 

Political groups:

Raffaele Fitto (IT) switched from EPP to ECR member and became member of the group's bureau.

Valentinas Mazuronis (LT) switched from EFDD to ALDE.

Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy Group (EFDD): Ignazio Corrao (IT) switched from vice-chair to member.

European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) launched a new policy group on subsidiarity and localism.
