European Parliament: 

Substitutes of the Committees, Subcommittees and the Delegations: 
Younous OMARJEE (GUE/NGL, FR) joined the Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT).

Special Committees:
Emission Measurements in the Automotive Sector (EMIS): The first regular meeting of the Committee scheduled for 22 March was cancelled following the Brussels terror attacks and has been re-scheduled on Thursday 7 April at 15.00-18.30.
Several other Committees and Delegations meetings have been cancelled as well.

Directorates-General:
Communication (COMM):
Directorate D – Resources: Michele CHAPELIER became Acting Head of Unit, Human Resources, replacing Giuseppe MENCHI.

Competition (COMP):
Directorate F – Markets and cases V: Transport, Post and other services: Henrik MORCH was officially appointed Director of the unit following on from his position as Acting Director and Head of Unit, State Aid Transport.

NEW ROLE: EU Coordinator:
President Jean-Claude JUNCKER appointed Maarten VERWEY as EU Coordinator to implement the EU-Turkey Statement, following the agreement of the Heads of States or Government that the Commission will coordinate and organise along with the Member States the appropriate structures for its implementation. This includes the coordination of the dispatching of 4000 staff that will be needed from Greece, Member States, the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) and FRONTEX. Mr VERWEY is the Director-General of the Structural Reforms Support Service and leads a team that have been assisting with the migration crisis in Greece since October 2015.

Permanent Representations:

Italy: Carlo CALENDA succeeded Stefano SANNINO as Permanent Representative of Italy to the EU on Monday 21 March.

Croatia: Tomo MEDVED, Croatian Democratic Union (EPP) was appointed as the new Minister for Veteran affairs, replacing Vesna NAĐ, who was acting the position, following the resignation of Mijo CRNOJA on 28 January.
