Outgoing MEPs include, Teresa Rodriguez-Rubio (GUE-NGL, ES) who left parliament on 5 March to focus on national elections in Andalucia. Miguel Urbán has replaced her.

Pablo Echenique (GUE-NGL, ES) is to leave as well this month to run a campaign for the election in Aragon. Estefanía Torres will replace him.

And Eduard-Raul Hellvig (EPP, RO) has been confirmed as director of the Romanian intelligence service. His successor is Mihai Țurcanu.

In committee news, Kostas Chrysogonos (GUE-NGL, GR) has left his role as vice chair of the development committee (DEVE) and joined constitutional affairs (AFCO), with his colleague Stelios Kouloglou (GUE-NGL, GR) making the reverse journey from AFCO to DEVE.

The creation of the new special committee on tax rulings and other measures similar in nature or effect (TAXE) has led to a few moves, with Alain Lamassoure (EPP, FR) joining the conference of committee chairs following his appointment as TAXE committee chair.

Also joining the TAXE committee as group coordinators are Peter SIMON (S&D, DE) and Burkhard BALZ (EPP, DE).

And finally, in national news Ivan Štefanec (EPP, SK) has left the Slovak Democratic and Christian Union – Democratic Party (SDKU) and become an independent.
