Huawei and Fraunhofer ESK Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Cooperate on Industry 4.0 at CeBIT 2015

[Hannover, Germany, March 17, 2015] Huawei today announced the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with research institute Fraunhofer ESK at CeBIT 2015 to jointly develop innovative ICT technologies for Industry 4.0 by leveraging their combined R&D expertise on industrial access router and 4G wireless technologies.

The partnership will enable Huawei and Fraunhofer ESK to achieve a deeper understanding of the possibilities that ICT technologies will open up for Industry 4.0 scenarios, including 4G wireless technologies and industry access routers. Both companies will research and develop Industry 4.0 solutions, comprising new ICT platforms, development work beyond 4G, as well as industrial wireless and wired communication technologies. Fraunhofer ESK will also work with Huawei to transform Huawei's advanced Industry 4.0 lab to showcase  products and solutions developed by this collaboration and its joint ICT capabilities to develop Industry 4.0 applications.
