European Parliament

The European Parliament has elected its new Bureau, with Roberta Metsola (EPP, MT) as the new President, 14 Vice-Presidents and five Quaestors.

Anne Sander (EPP, FR), Christophe Hansen (EPP, LU), Monika Beňová (S&D, SK), Fabienne Keller (Renew, FR) and Marcel Kolaja (Greens/EFA, CZ) are the Quaestors.

MEP News
Catharina Rinzema (RE, NL) has joined the European Parliament. She is a member of the International Trade Committee (INTA), the EU-UK Parliamentary Partnership Assembly (D-UK) and the United States Delegation (D-US) and a substitute on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee (IMCO) and the AIDA Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence in a Digital Age Special Committee (AIDA) and the Japan Delegation (D-JP).

Migration & Home Affairs (HOME)
Tina Zournatzi replaces Nicolas Bessot as Head of Unit A2 (Communication) who was covering the role in anacting capacity.
Andrea De Candido replaces Angela Cristea as Head of Unit B2 (Innovation and Security Research) in an acting capacity.
Anita Vella replaces Magdalena Jagiello as Head of Unit C2 (Legal Pathways and Intervention) who was covering the role in an acting capacity.

Trade (TRADE)
Martin Lukas replaces Wolfgang Mueller as Director of Directorate G (Trade Defence).
