This issue features Swedish Greens/EFA MEP Alice Kuhnke as our cover star. The equality campaigner tells us that the EU should do more to tackle violence against women, racism and must show solidarity with Greece in finding a solution to the refugee crisis.

Also contributing to our gender equality feature are Maria Noichl (DE, S&D) and Cindy Franssen (BE, EPP), who look at what effect the new EU Gender Equality Strategy will have. Meanwhile, MEPs Peter Liese (DE, EPP), Nathalie Colin-Oesterlé (FR, EPP) and Brando Benifei (IT, S&D) give us their take on the EU’s new Beating Cancer plan.

Pernille Weiss (DE, EPP) and Grace O’Sullivan (IE, Greens/EFA) preview World Water Day, David Lega (SE, EPP) discusses children’s rights, Axel Voss (DE, EPP) looks at European digital sovereignty, Jeroen Lenaers (NL, EPP) talks about the stigma associated with chronic pain disorders and the European Network Against Racism’s Julie Pascoët argues that more action must be taken to tackle Europe’s racism crisis.

Also in this issue: we have MEP comment on the upcoming Conference on the Future of Europe, International Day Against Racism and Brain Awareness Week.

Finally, answering our Five Questions this issue is Bulgarian Renew Europe deputy Atidzhe Alieva-Veli.
