From Brussels to Strasbourg: Key tips for Assistants
Aviva, in collaboration with the Parliament Magazine, are hosting a welcome reception for Accredited Parliamentary Assistants (APAs) and MEPs. The reception will be held in the evening on Tuesday 23 July in the Renaissance Brussels Hotel, Rue du Parnasse 19.
The reception will deliver a helpful insight into the everyday aspects of a parliamentary assistant and provide a taste of the multifaceted role and work of APAs both in Brussels and Strasbourg.
We will explore what a day in the life of an assistant is like, offer hints and tips on understanding Parliament’s often complex legislative procedures and rules and provide expertise on working constructively with the media and delivering quality press statements.
Aviva is one of the EU’s largest insurers with insurance and asset management businesses across the EU. It has a proud history of positively engaging with EU policymakers on a range of topics from sustainable finance to insurance regulation.
A networking reception with canapes will follow some brief speeches.
