The Agri Food Chain Coalition (AFCC) is hosting a panel debate entitled “Innovation – how can it fuel a strong & competitive EU agri-food sector?”, which will take place as part of the European Food and Drink Week at the EU Pavilion of EXPO Milan on Monday, 29 June. The theme of EXPO 2015 will be “Feeding the planet, Energy for life” and runs from May through to October in Milan, Italy.

The AFCC is a joint initiative representing 11 leading industry associations across the agri-food chain, united in their call for sustainable, solution-orientated and innovative policies that benefit the EU and beyond.

European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Phil Hogan will deliver the keynote address, followed by a panel debate which will bring together 4 experts from across the agri-food chain: David Caffal, Ian Pigott, Dr. Klaus Schumacher, and Prof Wilberforce K. Tushemereirwe, while Alexander Döring, Chair of the AFCC, will present our “Food for Thought” vision which looks at unlocking the potential of agriculture and the food industry in the EU.
