It's summer recess for the EU institutions and our next print edition doesn't come out until September, but we're still here to help you keep up with Parliament's latest news.

Francis Zammit Dimech joined Parliament as an EPP group member, replacing Therese Comodini Cachia, who stepped down after being elected to the Maltese Parliament. Zammit has served in multiple ministerial positions and chaired the standing committee on foreign and European affairs in the Maltese Parliament.

German EPP group member Herbert Reul, who resigned after being appointed as interior minister of North-Rhine Westphalia, was replaced by Dennis Radtke.

Jonathan Bullock has also joined Parliament and will sit with the EFDD group. He replaces Roger Helmer, who announced his retirement earlier this summer.

Andrey Kovatchev was appointed as the new leader of the Bulgarian delegation in the EPP group and British Socialist David Martin was elected as the new chair of Parliament's EU-Montenegro delegation.

Belgian deputy Anneleen Van Bossuyt, who was recently elected as the new chair of the internal market and consumer protection committee, and Slovakian MEP Branislav Škripek became members of the ECR group bureau.

UK S&D group MEP Richard Corbett married Lol Kirkwood.

In other institutional news, Karl-Heinz Lambertz officially took over as President of the Committee of the Regions. His predecessor, Markku Markkula, was elected as first Vice-President.
